Join Rockaholics Anonymous and U4WDA in supporting local, state, regional, and nationwide land use organizations and causes at the 2010 Southwest Crawlfest January 29-30 at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

This unique trail ride and public lands clean up event has been host to over 200 registered vehicles and 600 participants in each of the past two years. Trails range from mild to wild and each showcase the extraordinarily beautiful red rock spires, bluffs, deserts and canyons Washington County Utah is famous for.

In its third year, Southwest Crawlfest continues to promote land use causes and organizations. Proceeds from the $25,000 in raffle prizes go to support land use organizations including: Blue Ribbon Coalition, Canaan Mountain Legal Defense Fund, RR4W Mud Fund, Southern Nevada Trail Fund, Tread Lightly, United Four Wheel Drive Association, Utah 4 Wheel Drive Association and Utah Shared Access Alliance.

Drivers Meetings for the Maze and Buggy Trail groups. Roll out at 8:30am

Drivers Meetings all remaining trails. Roll out at 9:00am
9:00am-4:00pm
Trail rides and cleanup on all eight trails. Load up on debris, the individual with the most trash receives a prize at the weenie roast.
5:00-7:00pm
Weenie roast and rig tests. Join us back at the fairgrounds for a meet and greet with live music, a climbing wall and a mechanical bull! Test your rig on the articulation ramp while you have a dog. Best score receives a prize.

Drivers Meetings. The Maze trail will have an 8:00am Drivers meeting all other trails drivers meeting at 8:30am.

Roll out! Maze trail group departs at 8:00am all other trails depart at 8:30am.

Trail rides and cleanup on all ten trails. Load up on debris, the individual with the most trash receives a prize at dinner.

Dinner catered by Staheli catering. On the menu is a 2-meat western style buffet with Dutch oven potatoes, peach cobbler and more. Dinner is $15 each for adults and $7.50 for children if you pre register. Dinner will be $20 for Adults and $10 for children for those that did not preregister.
During dinner we will hear from two giants in the off-road and land use worlds, Del Albright and Rick Russell.
Del Albright is an internationally published columnist, State Environmental Affairs Coordinator for CA4WDC and BlueRibbon Ambassador and has authored volumes over the last 25 years on land use, outdoor recreation, and access. Del serves full time as a contractor for the BlueRibbon Coalition and is known nationwide as a recreation advocate providing leadership in and education for responsible recreation. Del is the developer of the Recreational Leadership Training Course (RLTC) and provides online e-training to students from all walks of outdoor recreation. Rick Russell started Sidekick Off Road in 1988. Since then he has produced maps for the motorcycle and 4-wheel drive enthusiast. Rick has also published the Off Road Event Calendar every year since 1990 and produced an Off Highway Adventure Video Series. Rick always promotes proper use of off road vehicles. Rick has worked with both the US Forest Service and the BLM to create volunteer programs that provide an opportunity for industry, off highway enthusiasts and land managers to work together toward common goals. One such volunteer program was started in the San Bernardino National Forest. The SBNFA contracted with Rick to design and develop an off road volunteer program for their 800,000 acre forest. The process took 24 months and grew to over 80 volunteers during its first few years of operation. The volunteers attend a series of training classes including: First Aid, Forest Service Policy & Procedure, ATV Safety, 4-Wheeling Basics, volunteer procedures and radio training.
